In a rare hoops post here on Sat I played the Hawks to cover a sizable number at Temple and they went on to do so. I think tonight is a different story and the Hawks will be in for a war at Nova. I do think the Hawks are final four material, but covering another pretty hefty number at another tough intracity road venue is asking a lot. This will be the biggest Big 5 game in sometime and the Wildcat crazies will be out in force. I like the fact that they have kept this game on campus rather than moving it to The Wachovia Center. It will be a tougher place for St Joe's to play. The Nova guards are a lot quicker than Temple's and I don't expect the Hawks to make 20 three pointers like they did on Sat against the Owl zone. St Joe's likes to jump on teams early and have been scoring 50 or more points by halftime in recent outings. I expect the Cats to weather the early Hawks barrage and turn this game into a dogfight and perhaps win out right.
